Our Story
Our story is one that I think still blows our minds some days. We started in early 2020 as a Facebook group for women to cultivate new friendships, uplift one another, and to promote random acts of kindness. Our servant hearts took over, and our dreams to implement community outreach took root. Ourselves, along with almost 700 wonderful women behind us, started reaching further and doing things for our community. We were able to raise money for several community nonprofit organizations, provide school supplies to all Barrow County School, host a community wide trunk or treat, deliver care packages to all of our local fire departments and several healthcare facilities, a food drive, and collect donations and make over 300 Easter baskets for the children in DEFACS care and in the care of other local organizations. During these adventures, we realized that this is what we were put here to do. Becoming a nonprofit seemed to be the only step that made sense, so here we are! Our office is located at the wonderful Wimberly Center for Community Development in Winder Ga.

We support families on their journey to prosperity through holistic services including job readiness, employment skills, interview coaching, financial literacy, budgeting support, housing stability resources, and individualized case management. We believe that every family deserved the opportunity to thrive. We equip every person with the tools, confidence and resources needed to achieve lasting independence and economic wellbeing.

We offer job readiness training (free of charge) to our community, which includes cover letter and resume building, mock interviews, help with finding job opportunities, and interview attire for those in need when it's time to go for your interview! We also execute a lot of various community outreach projects where we see needs that need to be met.

Meet Melisa Goss, she serves as the Secretary for Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project. She is a mother of 3, and enjoys assisting in any way she can, to make a positive impact on families within the community
Meet Karen Harvey, she serves as the CFO for Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project. Karen brings passion and dedication to the team. She is a mother of 2, a vital part of her church and an employee of the Barrow County School System.
Meet Brandi Lloyd She is the founder and the Executive Director of BSPP. A mother of 2 and an advocate for children within her community, Brandi is focused on helping families thrive.
2026 Housing Stability Bridge Fundraiser
Steeped In Security
Our First Annual High Tea fundraiser will be the beginning of our newest program rollout. Come out and sip tea, while hearing about how to help raise funds for our Housing Stability Bridge Program. Rental costs and utilities are steadily increasing, but wages aren't. Families are just one traumatic or tragic event from losing their stability. Help us bridge these gaps by raising funds for our new program that will help families through these obstacles with case management and financial assistance to our neighbors in needs.
